ER series allow you to hear sound naturally Etymotic ER Musicians Earplugs

Etymotic Research ER Musician's Custom fit earplug that will give a linear or flat attenuation response to any sound material, the ER series of custom earplugs are designed for the music professional with a requirement to hear absolute music detail at a lower level than the source. The ER series earplug fits discreetly flush to the ear and is very unobtrusive. Typically users are sound engineers, conductors, DJs and musicians all have benefited from this type of earplug helping to check music balance at safe listening levels and preserve their hearing as well as the intergrity of the source sound. The ER series earplugs attenuate at a constant rate at either 9dB, 15dB or 25dB depending how effective the earplug needs to be. A good rule is 15dB for classical musicians and concertgoers, 25 dB for rock musicians on stage. The filters are all interchangeable and are also sold separately. Linear attenuation earplugs are only available as custom fit and ear impressions will be necessary.

Which Filter? The interchangeable filters allow you the choice of how much sound
 reduction will suit your needs, remember the filters are quickly and easily exchangeable so you
 could swap them over depending on your enviromental needs.

ER9 - 9dB protection. Recommended for light noise exposure and acoustic musicians.
ER15 - 15dB protection. Recommended for most musicians playing amplified music.
ER25 - 25dB protection. Recommended for highly amplified performances and drummers
