ProGuard Custom Fit Shooters and Marksman's Earplugs come in clear transluctent non-allergenic soft medical-grade silicon and fitted with the excellent Hocks Noise Braker filter as standard, the patented technology will provide smart hearing protection and safeguard your ears from noise induced hearing loss. This unique filter will convert any loud noise to a safe listening level of 80-85 dB, simply done without the aid of electronics and other moving parts that could eventually fail. These exceptional ear plugs will block dangerous sounds, yet still allow you to hear safe sounds and carry out a normal conversation, making them an excellent choice for sporting use. The principle employed within the Hocks Noise Braker Filter is known as Accelerated Resonant Decay, this small filter will convert sonic sound energy into thermal energy by means of compression acceleration. There will be a small temperture rise within the filter when this is happening but it really is so small it is undetactable and will not cause any discomfort. Putting the Accelerated Resonant Decay principle into far simpler terms, the Noise Braker will actually bounce a segment of the dangerous part of the incoming noise back out of your ear which in turn will cancel out the incoming noise the incoming noise, thereby reducing it to a safe listening level. The louder the dangerous noise, the more sound that gets automatically cancelled out. As a result, no sound over approximately 85 decibels is allowed to pass through the filter into your ear!
