In-ear monitoring is the ideal tool for gigging musicians, on the practical side it is space saving, carrying around a small IEM pack is preferable to a large foldback wedge. In-ear monitoring systems (IEM) help performers to sing, pitch and time with accuracy which no other monitor systems can provide on a sound stage. Custom fitted monitors will also double as an earplug attenuating high volumes of sound associated with live music to much lower safe levels reducing the potential problems such as Tinnitus, Hyperacusis, Meniers disease and hearing loss that can occur by listening to high audio levels for prolonged periods.
