Concerts are loud. The average rock concert or night club is 115 dBA, the recommend exposure time for this level of sound is 15 minutes per day before hearing damage can begin to occur. We all know concerts and nights out last for far longer than 15 minutes, unprotected ears need looking after you only get one pair, once damaged they won't repair. Normal hearing protection seals off the ear with an insulating material (like foam, or silicone), thus blocking sound from entering the ear. Your ears are protected, but a few problems can sometimes occur. People will have to shout at each other in order to carry on a conversation, and users can sometimes find it hard to hear warning signals and other sounds. The Noise Braker is a filter, it lets air and sound through. The Noise Braker is designed to reduce the intensity of sound waves, as the sound waves get stronger then the filter will reduce it in size. This way the wearer can carry on a normal conversation. The normal voice can be heard with slight reduction of volume, whilst loud music can be filtered out to a lower level. The Hocks Noise Braker Filter converts acoustic energy into thermal energy basically bouncing part of the dangerous incoming sound back out of your earplug which subsequently helps to cancel out the incoming noise, reducing it to a safe volume level. The louder the damaging noise is, the more of it that gets automatically cancelled out. As a result, no sound over approximately 85 decibels is allowed to pass through the filter into your ear! You can still hear but high levels of sound cannot possibly get through the filter. Hocks Noise Braker Filters feature a multi-flange design for a comfortable fit and a good seal every time for small to average sized ear canals. Also comes with a small neat carry cacse
