As we know noise-induced hearing loss is permanent and irreversible, it is completely preventable. The new European Union Directive 2003/10/EC, which went into effect on 15 February 2006, aims to prevent worker exposure to harmful noise, whilst promoting a healthier and more productive workforce. We have products that can help and give an indication of the actual level of sound, or noise in a given area. This will give an idication if you are in a danger of harming your hearing or in breach of the new directives.
